Dartmouth Printing Company, a subsidiary of The Sheridan Group with 2000+ employees in the United States and Europe is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. Located in Hanover, New Hampshire the Human Resources Generalist will report directly to the VP-HR. This individual will serve as a business partner in the provision of guidance, expertise and consultation to department managers and as a resource, coach and service provider for over 300 employees. They will act as the HR Leader in the absence of the VP-HR. There will be a heavy emphasis on benefits, workers  compensation/safety, training, and coaching. 

Key qualities we are looking for include: 

B.S. degree in HR Management, or a related field; 3-5 years experience in Human Resources; knowledge base in NH and VT employment law and other government compliance regulations required; view the HR department as a business partner, not as a policy enforcer; excellent coach and mentor; critical thinking skills; articulate, positive personality for effective interaction with employees; experience with HRIS system, iVantage preferred

Looking for an opportunity to make a real contribution?  Our client in the Lebanon, NH area is looking for a Benefits professional to assist on a number of  projects that require significant experience in a variety of benefit areas (Health & Welfare and retirement).  This contract position could be either full or part-time depending on the qualifications of the candidate.  Start date is ASAP; estimated duration is TBD.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support compliance of benefit plans with applicable regulations
  • Coordinate activities related to the conversion of retirement plan assets to a new investment approach
  • Update SPDs and other communication materials, along with other internal documentation
  • Other projects as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive employee benefit plan design and administration experience
  • Knowledgeable in both health & welfare and retirement plans
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in multiple areas simultaneously
  • Previous management experience a real plus
