Otto Heino, recognized by the League of NH Craftsmen as a Lifetime Achievement award winner, was a prolific ceramicist. His simple, elegantly shaped pots and opulent glazes earned him international acclaim as a craftsperson. He is perhaps most well known for recreating a lost ancient Asian formula for a rich yellow glaze. Mr. Heino’s work has been exhibited at the Picasso Museum in Vallauris, France, the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and many other public and private galleries. Otto Heino passed away on July 16, 2009 at age 94.
